FOR 2016, THE FOCUS FOR DISCOVER GARDENS WILL BE ON  two of the gardens which I most enjoy sharing with visitors – Great Dixter in East Sussex and Sissinghurst Castle in Kent.  It is the 10th anniversary since the death of Christopher Lloyd,  the great plantsman and garden writer – and a wonderful oportunity to celebrate his legacy through the work of the team at Great Dixter.  At Sissinghurst, with the fresh impetus of new (ish!) Head Gardener, Troy Smith and the involvement of garden designer, Dan Pearson, there are also exciting developments afoot.

2016 IS 300 YEARS SINCE THE BIRTH OF LANCELOT ‘CAPABILITY’ BROWN. There are special events and openings planned all over the UK .  Ashburnham Place,  just over 30 minutes drive from Great Dixter, was designed by ‘Capability’ Brown and includes 3 lakes, a walled kitchen garden and a magnificent Orangery which houses Camellias (thought to be amongst the oldest in the country) and a wonderful tea room!

If you are visiting the UK and would like me to take you out for a day of garden visiting, punctuated by a delicious pub lunch, then contact me asap to book your date.  We are an hour’s train ride out of London and I and my driver will meet you from your train.  I am able to offer Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays this year and dates are filling up fast – especially for Chelsea Flower Show week (May 24th -28th). ****MAXIMUM group size 6 PEOPLE***

Please contact me for further information on costs and booking details.  I look forward to meeting you.
